Dedicated Freight Corridors have the potential to alter India's logistics landscape and provide a robust platform to build multiple scalable Greenfield cities and enhance planned urbanization along the corridor. Among the several corridor of EAST-WEST & North-South corridor of DFC. We have been engaged in geotechnical evaluation for proposed heavy haul rail corridor connecting Salegaon (Maharashtra) with the Paradip Port in a bid to give a boost to the coastal movement of coal to thermal plants situated in various parts of the country especially in southern India.

As part of the heavy haul corridor, the Indian Port Rail company will be laying broad gauge railway line from Salegaon in Maharashtra to Paradip port on Odisha Coast to promote multi modal logistics and Coastal shipping. The railway lines will be dedicated to carry freight and mostly thermal coal.
Geotechnical Investigation for dedicated port rail connectivity from Salegaon to Paradip Port of 90 km in Orissa was awarded to M/s BPC Consultant India Pvt. Ltd.
